[THE HISTORY]

Freya was born in 1988 to Lilja and Johannes Hallbjorn near Vik, Iceland. They were a very well-known Pureblood family of Iceland. Her father was rising even higher in power while she grew up. There were constant power plays going on, but eventually her father rose to one of the highest positions possible in Icelandic Wizarding culture. This happened around her seventh birthday. As a result of being submerged in politics, her mother and father paid no attention to her. She was raised by a nanny, and spent all of her time with Margret, a sister two years younger than Freya. Being far away from their parents' eyes, Freya and Margret were allowed to grow into functional little girls, whose spirits had not been crushed by cold politics like the spirits of their older sister, Catrin. When Freya was five, Catrin was married off to a wealthy Pureblood family in Iceland, and began popping out heirs. Even this early in life, Freya and Margret both knew that they would do anything to keep from living that life.

When Freya was nine, political unrest began to brew in Wizarding Iceland. Many of the Muggleborns and Half-Bloods were unhappy with her father's procedures, most of which heavily favored Purebloods. One night, some radical insurgents stormed the Hallbjorn manor and assassinated her father. The Hallbjorn family fled Iceland for Swansea, Wales, where one of Lilja's cousins resided. Luckily, the family fortune was intact, so Lilja was able to purchase a new manor for the family, though much smaller and more modest than their Icelandic residence. Catrin stayed in Iceland with her husband. The three remaining Hallbjorns started life over again in Swansea. It was difficult, and their mother kept the nanny with them because it was not in her nature to nurture children, but they survived. Freya was sent off to Hogwarts when she was 11, followed by Margret two years later. They remain incredibly close. Lilja remains a widow, living off her late husband's sizable inheritance. She has stayed out of Pureblood culture in Wales, having had enough of it in Iceland. The Hallbjorns remain carefully neutral in all political matters, though at heart Lilja supports Voldemort and his ideals. Lilja is continually attempting to trick Freya into a marriage with a Pureblood family, but Freya is sharp and will have none of it.

[THE APPEARANCE]

Freya is average height and average weight. She has a very feminine body, with large curves. By societal standards today, many would call her fat, but she is a healthy weight. In most aspects she is very Scandinavian. Her eyes are dark blue, and her hair is blonde, though closer to brown than most native Icelanders. She is very pale, but manages not to look sickly. Her nose is rather large, but not so large that it makes her homely. She has full lips and defined cheekbones. A freckle will never be seen on her face. Her smile is large and seen often.

[THE PERSONALITY]

Freya is an overall nice person. She comes off as shy when you first meet her, but after a few hours she'll open up and become rather talkative and friendly. She's only ever rude when she feels that she or her loved ones are being threatened. Freya loves to care for other people and animals. She enjoys being the shoulder to cry on, and thus rarely ever shows when she is upset. She doesn't like to burden other people with her unhappiness, so she keeps it to herself, focusing on keeping the people around her happy. Mostly, though, Freya is a happy young woman, so this isn't much of a problem. She is a forgiving person, and if a person is truly sorry for wrongs they have committed against her, she will forgive them. She is incredibly studious and intelligent, though good grades don't come naturally to her. She has to work very hard to get the excellent grades that she does. She thinks kindly of the human race in general, and thus tries to see the good in even the most vile people.

Freya is most talented at Potions, Herbology, and Care of Magical Creatures. She has a way with plants and animals, and with making potions. She's one of the best in her class in all of these subjects. Her knowledge of Ancient Runes is also very all-encompassing, and she is able to divine things quite easily through casting runes. It is not difficult for her to makes friends. She is a trustworthy person. She is loyal and will keep a secret to the grave. She gets along well with everyone, especially teachers. She has overcome a family of cold and untrusting politicians to become a warm and lively young girl. She can be strong for other people, helping them through hard times.

Freya is not very talented at Transfiguration, Charms, or DADA. Her marks are always excellent, but she has to study and practice for hours to get them that way. She is a perfectionist, and sometimes this gets in the way of her social life and her health. She has been admitted to the hospital wing more than a few times for stress-related exhaustion and panic attacks. Freya trusts people easily, which has led to a lot of pain and betrayal in the past. She thinks highly of all humans, so is often disappointed when people use her and betray her trust. She fails to see the bad in people. Her last personality fault is that she cares more about others than she does about herself. She won't allow herself to express her pain and sadness, and such bottling isn't very good for her mental health. She has a lot of issues that she hasn't yet worked out for herself, because she is too busy working out issues for other people.

Freya fears mediocrity in grades. To be a healer, she knows she has to have at least above average grades, if not outstanding. One mediocre mark and she could fail to achieve her dream. At least, that's how she sees it. She fears being a housewife. Her mother and her older sister have both been trophy wives to old, grumpy Pureblood men, their sole purpose being to pop out children and raise them, and look pretty while doing it. Freya does not want that at all. She wants her own life, her freedom. She wants to make an impact on the world, improve lives everywhere. She doesn't want her own children, she wants to care for other children who have no one else to care for them. She sees housewifery as the ultimate cage, one that she is constantly having to dodge. Her mother is still attempting to get her betrothed to a stinky old Pureblood.
